The workflow of enterprises usually involves the integration of multiple applications from various systems. To lower the difficulty of integration, Enterprise Integration Patterns could be helpful. Each pattern poses a specific design problem, discusses the considerations surrounding the problem, and presents an elegant solution that balances the various forces. The BPEL language is used to model the workflows. The objective of the thesis is to find BPEL representation of several EAI patterns, also with the help of Web services. For this purpose, features of the EAI patterns are investigated and the patterns are parameterized. An editor was already developed to support combining some EAI patterns to a messaging system and generating BPEL out of it. By extending the editor we are able to generate BPEL files for more patterns, which can be deployed and executed on the ActiveBPEL engine.
